As we know become a student of university is quiet challenging. We need to have a positive mindset to do our routine correctly and also, we need to remember why we came to this university because no one will take care of you here! So let’s ready to enter university life.

MAKING THE TRANSITION (FROM SCHOOL TO UNIVERSITY)

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

– spend less time in class

– spend more time studying outside of class

– you must more in reading

– you have fewer tests

– might not be reminder of due dates and exams

– fewer daily assignment and they may not be checked

– livee and study in the same place

– classes are bigger

– more team/group assignments with meetings outside of class

– no extentions on due dates

– participation affects grades

– fewer reasons for excused absences

– you are responsible for your own learning and behaviour

– lecture and readings may not overlaps

For example :

COMMUNITY:

School : Have a lot of friends.

University : have one friend is good enough.

University : You wake up for your first class (or whenever you want)

School : you study for whole semester then final exam. Your grade depends only what you score at your final exam.

University : we have coursework and final exam. If you don’t score your coursework (test and assignment), you may fail even you score at your final exam.
